Augmenting abilities with new assistive technologies
Harnessing AI to Develop Novel Assistive Technologies to Provide Support for Children with Disabilities
Current assistive technologies both in and outside of the classroom are just beginning to reach their exciting potential to support learning processes for all students. We are currently developing augmented reality applications to assist people with low vision with different activities such as walking outside or touring a museum. We are engaged in research and development around school and school-related scenarios to expand the use of augmented reality (visual and auditory) in combination with the strength of AI to help additional disabilities such as autism and ADHD.
